This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment focused on mobility, tunneling, and water resources.</p> <p>What they offer:<br /> Opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure projects.<br /> Collaborative and inclusive work culture.<br /> Professional development and career growth support.<br /> Competitive compensation and benefits.</p> <p>Title: Accountant<br /> Location: Wallingford, CT (Hybrid)<br /> Potential Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 plus Bonus</p> <p>Key Responsibilities<br /> Process project invoices and resolve vendor payment issues.<br /> Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, including proper application of sales/use tax.<br /> Support Accounts Payable operations by contributing to strategic reviews and identifying process improvements.<br /> Coach project teams on AP procedures and best practices.<br /> Verify banking details for ACH and wire transfers; process electronic bank payment files.<br /> Prepare journal entries and reconcile subledgers and supporting documentation.<br /> Assist with month-end close activities.<br /> Support internal and external audit data requests.<br /> Perform other accounting duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications<br /> Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<br /> 2–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience in construction<br /> Strong understanding of AP processes and general ledger accounting.<br /> Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).<br /> Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br /> Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.</p>
