Equity Research Analyst, Global Oil & Gas

Our client, a global investment management firm is seeking to recruit an Equity Research Analyst to primarily cover the global Oil & Gas sector. Key tasks and responsibilities: Conduct detailed bottom-up equity analysis of specific companies in the Oil & Gas sector Build and maintain detailed financial models and develop an in-depth investment thesis for recommendations Generate investment ideas for inclusion in relevant portfolios Present compelling and well-articulated investment ideas to express convictions in research conclusions Keep research up to date for companies already in the portfolios Regularly interact with company management and produce investment notes on earnings calls, conferences and management meetings Candidate Requirements Relevant equity research experience on the buy-side or sell-side Relevant work experience and knowledge of the oil & gas sector CFA Charterholder or working towards qualification Strong analytical and numerical skills Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment process Good team player who is able to work within a collaborative, results orientated working environment Self-awareness and the humility to admit and learn from mistakes Mason Blake acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
