About the Role
A leading precision engineering company in Havant is seeking an experienced <strong>Quality Inspector</strong> to join its established team. Operating a modern facility with <strong>22 CNC mills and lathes</strong> running on <strong>Heidenhain, Haas and Siemens controls</strong>, the business employs 18 skilled operatives and delivers high‑accuracy components across demanding sectors.<br><br><br> <strong>Role Overview</strong><br> Reporting to the <strong>Quality Manager</strong>, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving product quality across the machining operation. The position involves routine <strong>mechanical inspection</strong> and <strong>visual inspection</strong> of components (pre‑ and post‑treatment), ensuring compliance with customer, internal and industry standards.<br><br><br> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li><strong>Conduct routine inspections</strong> using mechanical tools and CMM equipment<br><br></li><ul><li><strong>Prepare quality documentation</strong> including FAIRs, SCARs and NCRs<br><br></li><li><strong>Work within established quality procedures</strong> and support AS9100‑aligned processes<br><br></li><li><strong>Review and verify material certifications</strong><br><br></li><li><strong>Monitor, record and report non‑conformances</strong><br><br></li><li><strong>Participate in NQA and internal audits</strong><br><br></li><li><strong>Support and guide CNC operatives</strong> to ensure quality standards are consistently upheld<br><br></li></ul></ul><br> <strong>Hours & Benefits</strong><br><ul><li><strong>Monday to Friday – 37 hours</strong>, early finish <strong>Friday at 12:30</strong><br><br></li><ul><li><strong>20 days holiday</strong>, increasing by 1 day per year to a maximum of 25<br><br></li><li><strong>Statutory pension</strong><br><br></li><li><strong>On‑site parking</strong><br><br></li><li><strong>Overtime available at premium rates</strong><br><br></li></ul></ul><br> <strong>Candidate Profile</strong><br> We are looking for a proactive, detail‑driven individual with experience in a precision engineering environment.
