A local HVAC & Refrigeration company in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our client's team. What You’ll Do: Fabricate HVAC ductwork, fittings, and custom sheet metal parts by interpreting blueprints and work orders Measure, cut, form, assemble, and finish galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using fabrication tools Operate machinery including plasma cutters, shears, brakes, rollers, notchers, punches, and more Perform layout, riveting, fastening, spot welding, sealing, and assembly to ensure precise fit and top-quality workmanship Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy with tape measures, calipers, and other tools Stage and organize materials for installation crews, maintaining a safe and clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality benchmarks Required Skills: Previous experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication strongly preferred Proficiency operating plasma cutters and sheet metal fabrication machinery Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings accurately Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments Physical capacity to lift materials, stand for long periods, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety Nice to Have Skills: Experience with stainless steel and aluminum fabrication Prior experience with spot welding and sealing Familiarity with OSHA safety procedures Preferred Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Prior experience in HVAC or sheet metal fabrication (highly preferred) Other Requirements: Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexible hours based on workload Reliability and punctuality are essential in maintaining production flow Ready to build your career with a company that values craftsmanship and teamwork?
