About the Role
Role: Fire Commissioning Manager
Location: South East
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Fire Commissioning Manager based in the South-East, or open to a flexible location? As a Fire Commissioning Manager, you will take ownership of commissioning delivery across complex fire and life safety projects, leading commissioning engineers while ensuring systems are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest technical standard. You will be working for a long-established, NSI-Gold accredited Fire and Security business delivering bespoke solutions across major construction and data centre environments.
Responsibilities:
Developing commissioning plans, programmes, procedures, and schedules across Life Safety, CCTV, Access Control, and Intercom systems
Reviewing specifications, design drawings, and scope documents to identify commissioning requirements
Leading commissioning meetings and producing reports for clients and senior management
Reviewing and allocating commissioning resources to ensure skills and coverage align with project requirements
Supervising commissioning engineers on-site and managing commissioning delivery
Overseeing system programming and configuration across multiple ELV projects
Ensuring compliance with specifications, BAFE, BS, EN standards, and internal policies
Managing QA/QC documentation, including checklists, test reports, witness sheets, and defect logs
Producing full commissioning documentation packs upon project completion
Experience and Certifications Required:
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience commissioning medium to large fire alarm projects (Gent experience highly desirable)
Proven experience managing commissioning teams and running commissioning meetings/workshops
Strong understanding of technical specifications and construction drawings
CSCS Card and SMSTS certification
FIA / NACOSS training (Advanced Installer & Advanced Commissioner)
M&E coordination experience
