Distribution Coordinator / Pharmacy Assistant Location: Cary, NC (Onsite) Pay: $20.00/hour Employment Type: Full-Time Join Our Team! We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Distribution Coordinator/Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy operations team in Cary, NC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in ensuring patients receive their medications accurately and on time. Schedule Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Every other Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (typically 3–4 hours) Saturday shifts are on a rotating basis (approximately once every 1.5–2 months) and are often voluntary for overtime opportunities. Employees may make up weekday hours on Saturdays to maintain a 40-hour workweek. Flexibility is appreciated, as occasional days may extend beyond 6:00 PM until daily work is complete. What You'll Do As a Distribution Coordinator/Pharmacy Assistant, you'll play an important role in preparing, packaging, and shipping medications while ensuring compliance with company policies and pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities Prepare medications and supplies for shipment while maintaining product integrity, sterility, and stability. Package patient orders accurately following all required checklists and quality standards. Electronically track shipments to ensure timely delivery. Review shipping manifests to verify delivery addresses and schedules. Coordinate shipping information with pharmacy staff, including patient demographics and shipping updates. Reconcile shipping invoices and manifests for billing accuracy. Prepare weekly shipping and usage reports. Reset and organize the shipping area at the end of each workday. Maintain a clean and organized packing and distribution area. Break down cardboard, dispose of trash, and help maintain a safe work environment. Assist with unloading inbound deliveries and staging outgoing shipments for carriers. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure daily operational goals are achieved. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. One year of shipping and receiving experience preferred but not required. Basic computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems. Comfortable standing for extended periods throughout the workday. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Customer-focused with a compassionate and professional attitude.
