About the Role

Overview

The Technical Project Lead plays a hands-on leadership role within the Cloud, Data, Apps & AI practice, providing technical oversight and delivery assurance across complex client engagements. This role focuses on guiding consultants, validating technical approaches, and ensuring solution delivery aligns with architectural standards, quality expectations, and business outcomes.

The Technical Project Lead acts as a trusted technical authority—bridging strategy and execution—without owning project schedules, planning artifacts, or formal communication management.


Responsibilities

Technical Oversight & Delivery Assurance

  • Provide technical leadership across Cloud, Data, Application, and AI initiatives to ensure solutions are sound, scalable, and aligned to target architectures
  • Review and validate solution designs, technical decisions, and implementation approaches proposed by consultants and delivery teams
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet defined technical requirements, security standards, and performance expectations
  • Identify technical risks early and guide teams toward effective mitigation strategies

Consultant Leadership & Enablement

  • Guide and mentor consultants and engineers to ensure high-quality execution and adherence to best practices
  • Act as an escalation point for technical challenges, unblocking teams through hands-on problem solving
  • Promote consistent engineering standards, reusable patterns, and modern development practices across engagements
  • Support onboarding and ramp-up of consultants by providing technical context and direction

Cross‑Functional Technical Collaboration

  • Partner with architects, engineering leads, and platform teams to ensure alignment across Cloud, Data, Apps, and AI domains
  • Translate high-level solution intent into clear technical guidance for delivery teams
  • Validate integrations across systems, platforms, and data pipelines

Delivery Quality & Client Outcomes

  • Ensure technical deliverables align with agreed scope, quality benchmarks, and expected outcomes
  • Support client confidence through strong technical leadership and consistent delivery execution
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying delivery efficiencies and technical enhancements

Practice & Business Support

  • Contribute technical expertise to pre‑delivery discussions, solution shaping, and internal reviews
  • Support account growth by ensuring strong technical execution and repeatable delivery success
  • Share lessons learned, patterns, and innovations back into the Tech Services practice

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles supporting cloud, application, data, or AI delivery initiatives
  • Strong hands-on background in one or more of the following:
    • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Application development (modern web, APIs, microservices)
    • Data platforms, analytics, or AI/ML solutions
  • Proven experience guiding technical teams and overseeing solution delivery quality
  • Ability to evaluate designs, code, and implementations for alignment with best practices
  • Experience working within technology consulting or professional services environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large enterprise clients (including Walmart environments)
  • Exposure to multi‑disciplinary delivery teams spanning Cloud, Data, Apps, and AI
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery environments (without ownership of ceremonies or schedules)
  • Technical certifications in cloud platforms, data technologies, or architecture frameworks
