About the Role
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Construction Supervisor for a contract opportunity in Carlsbad, NM.
Summary:
Support all asset integrity projects including NDE inspections, tank maintenance activities and daily chemical treatment program duties within MCBU’s Central, Midland Basin and Delaware Basin Areas. primary responsibility is for day-to-day oversite of activities related to the asset integrity work executed by contractors in three categories.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all work activities comply with company safety programs and Control of Work standards.
Complete required training for Managing Safe Work, Permit Approver, and Person Managing Control of Work (PMCoW) responsibilities.
Prepare and assist with drafting work permits and work plans.
Verify permit conditions before approving work and ensure revalidation of permits as required.
Enforce construction safety standards and ensure contractor compliance with safe work practices.
Report and investigate HSE incidents and near misses involving personnel or environmental impacts.
Coordinate work schedules with Asset Integrity Planners and Fixed Equipment Inspectors.
Track project progress and communicate execution status to planning teams.
Approve, track, and enter daily field costs and contractor work tickets.
Coordinate work orders related to specific field locations including:Equipment isolation and de-isolation
Pressure relief valve testing
Thief hatch repair and testing
Maintain communication with field planners and operations teams to ensure work is executed efficiently.
Provide daily field supervision for contractors performing asset integrity work.
Coordinate activities with Field Operations Teams (FOT) including field specialists, production specialists, and supervisors.
Coordinate tank liquid removal and trucking services in preparation for tank maintenance.
Conduct field scoping and assist with work planning activities.
Develop Equipment Isolation Plans (EIPs) and coordinate approvals.
Arrange field resources including cranes, hydro-vac services, welding repairs, and replacement equipment.
Approve field service tickets based on completed work.
Accept completed work from tank cleaning and coating contractors.
Coordinate hydrostatic testing after tank work completion.
Manage turnover documentation including PSSR or Tank Team Handover documentation when required
Required Qualifications:
Extensive construction site experience in oil & gas or energy facilities.
Strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems, job safety analysis (JSA), SIMOPS, and contractor safety management.
Demonstrated ability to lead contractors and maintain safe work environments.
Experience coordinating field construction activities, inspections, maintenance, and facility upgrades.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, including P&IDs, isometrics, and civil drawings.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with field teams, engineers, and contractors.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and digital project tracking tools.
Preferred qualifications:
Working knowledge of applicable inspection standards, including:API 570
API 510
API 653
API 12R1
Experience supporting tank maintenance, inspections, and integrity programs.
Experience in greenfield or brownfield oil & gas facility construction projects.
Familiarity with engineering standards, construction codes, and safe work practices.
