Job Description
  • Review criteria-based prior authorizations following policy and procedure.
  • Provide internal nurse support to the PA team and member services department.
  • Shift priorities while exhibiting a high level of urgency with all calls and assignments.
  • Utilize clinical skills to support the documentation and communication of medical services.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all necessary information.
  • Perform inbound and outbound phone calls to facilitate prior authorization requests.
  • Complete other prior authorization assignments as delegated by the PA leadership team.
Critical Information
  • Work hours will vary between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Central Time (CT).
  • This position is fully remote and does not involve patient-facing duties.
  • Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.
Education/Licenses Needed
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience as a LPN/LVN.
  • Must hold an unrestricted LPN or LVN license in state of residence or a compact license.
  • Prior authorization or case management experience preferred.
