GSL Education is seeking proactive and dependable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Scunthorpe. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or experienced support staff who are comfortable managing a classroom and ensuring continuity of learning in the teacher’s absence. About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 Ensure students remain on task and engaged with set work Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations Provide guidance and support where needed Record attendance and report any concerns to senior staff Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with secondary-aged students Strong communication and leadership skills The ability to stay calm and assertive in a classroom setting A flexible and professional attitude An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly Flexible work to suit your availability Opportunities to gain long-term school experience Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant A great stepping stone into teacher training or further education roles A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential.
