About the Role

To reinforce our American subsidiary based in Rohnert Park, California, USA  we are currently looking to hire one person for the role of: Facilities Manager Rohnert Park, CA, USA •  Permanent contract, Full time  •  As soon as possible Position Summary Oversees all buildings and grounds maintenance for the company.  Responsible for ensuring facilities are safe, up to code, and fully operational. Responsible for managing contractors and working with third-party vendors.  Responsible for the company’s Health and Safety program and enforcing a culture of safety within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities  Oversees building and grounds maintenance, including custodial functions and facility recycling program, and ensures facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures Performs, or in coordination with contractors, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the site, including its fixtures, infrastructure, and equipment (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, sprinklers, extinguishers, landscaping, janitorial, drainage, appliances, security systems, generators, compressors, etc.) Supervises the quality of contracted work to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively Manages and reviews service contracts Maintains and updates the preventive maintenance (PM) database, ensuring accurate records, timely completion of scheduled maintenance activities, and compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications Develops programs and procedures for workplace safety compliance as required by Cal-OSHA, including the company’s IIPP and Emergency Action Plan Acts  as  Safety  Committee  Coordinator;  responsible  for  scheduling  meetings,  training  members,  safety inspections, first aid team meetings, and maintaining minutes. Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees and works with all employees to improve worksite and employee safety Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly Creates annual facilities budget Negotiates price, scope of work, and agreements with contractors Installs and moves equipment and furniture and plans space accordingly Oversees forklift training program and maintenance of forklift and company vehicle Ensures full compliance with Workplace Violence Prevention Program Required to be on-call 24/7 in case of emergency Other duties as assigned y and responsibilites      Qualifications:   High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent; Bachelor Degree preferred Five (5) years’ experience in facility maintenance or related field; Health and Safety experience preferred Mechanical skills related to fixing, installing and maintaining facility, systems and fixtures and ability to use related tools and equipment Good knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot facility and building systems Ability to work with all levels of employees Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow Experience using CAD software to produce assembly drawings preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products We offer The stability of an independent, dynamic, continuously successful Swiss group.
