About the role:
Justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Leeds from September 2026 until December 2026, with the potential for the role to be extended. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a supportive and successful Mathematics department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement.
- Differentiate teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
- Prepare students for examinations and support them in reaching their full potential.
- Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school behaviour policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and school events as required.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Mathematics within a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics education.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Two school based references.
