Pharmacy Technician Pay and Schedule

- Contract-to-hire opportunity

Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities
- Support pharmacy operations and order fulfillment
- Complete a filing project expected to take approximately 40 hours
- Assemble boxes and assist with cold-chain materials, including loading and unloading ice
- Answer incoming phone calls and take messages
- Retrieve labs and prepare them for faxing
- Pick and pack supplies such as syringes, gauze, and ice
- Dispatch orders by scanning items into the system, checking for accuracy, and printing labels
- Provide general operational support in a short-staffed pharmacy environment
Pharmacy Technician Duties
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Help fill prescriptions and support IV preparation
- Enter prescription and billing information into pharmacy systems
- Assist with medication prepackaging according to company standards and regulations
- Support final verification and packaging processes
- Help coordinate accurate and timely medication delivery
- Assist with inventory control, including stock rotation and expiration date tracking
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy work area
Pharmacy Technician Requirements
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- Healthcare support experience is helpful
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed
- Reliable and team-oriented
