About the Role
<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Exotics-focused Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, multi-vet hospital in the West Midlands. This role offers a strong exotics caseload alongside a supportive and collaborative clinical environment, ideal for a vet looking to develop or further specialise in this area.</p>

<h3><strong>The Practice</strong></h3>
<p>You will be joining a large, highly regarded 24-hour hospital with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence and patient care. The practice benefits from extensive diagnostic capabilities, including a fully equipped in-house laboratory, and facilities to manage a wide range of surgical and medical cases.</p>
<p>The hospital is well set up for exotics, with dedicated equipment for treatment, surgery and hospitalisation, supported by a dedicated night team to ensure excellent continuity of care.</p>

<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3>
<p>This position offers a varied caseload with approximately 50% exotics work, including reptiles, birds and small mammals, with scope to further develop this area.</p>
<p>You will work within a large clinical team, allowing for regular case discussion and shared expertise, including colleagues with a keen interest in exotics.</p>
<p>The role includes:</p>
<ul>
<li>4-day working week
<li>Fixed rota
<li>No out-of-hours (dedicated night service in place)
<li>Full-time or part-time considered
</ul>

<h3><strong>The Team</strong></h3>
<p>You will be part of a large and supportive team comprising multiple vets, nurses and support staff, with a structured leadership team in place. The practice actively promotes collaboration, regular clinical meetings, and continuous professional development.</p>
<p>Several team members are currently working towards certificates across various disciplines, reflecting a strong culture of learning and progression.</p>

<h3><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS registered or eligible)
<li>Strong interest in exotics work
<li>Either holds or is working towards an Exotics certificate, or has solid exotics experience within practice
<li>Excellent communication skills and commitment to high clinical standards
</ul>
