KS4 SEND Teacher - Northwich

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate KS4 SEND Teacher to join a specialist provision in Winsford on a long-term basis starting in September. This rewarding role involves teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they are fully engaged in learning and equipped with the skills needed to achieve their individual goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage 4 learners. Working closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes both academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for KS4 students with SEND.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
• Develop and implement individual learning plans to meet pupils’ specific needs.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENDCOs, and external professionals to support student outcomes.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching students with SEND, preferably within a KS4 setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND strategies, interventions, and inclusive teaching practices.
• Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
