Anesthesia
We are excited to announce several openings for Academic Anesthesiologists due to expansion in clinical services (open rank). Enjoy working with a team where you can stay at the top of your profession while providing patient care in a tertiary institution utilizing the anesthesia care team model, didactic and clinical instruction for residents, SRNAs and medical students.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:

Participate in clinical and educational research with mentorship
Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes throughout the perioperative period
Approximately 45,000 anesthetics are provided each year across all major specialties in the main operating rooms, out-of-OR locations, as well as a variety of ASC and office-based settings.
Competitive salary range for Assistant Professor $376,000-$396,000. Sign on bonus up to $45,000 and relocation up to $10,000. Overtime opportunities are available for additional compensation. The range for higher ranks will be discussed following interviews.

Gastroenterology
We are looking for general Gastroenterologists to join the Division of Gastroenterology. You will join a growing team that handles a wide range of complex gastroenterology patients from across northeastern New York. Candidates with special interest in IBD are encouraged to apply.
In this role you would have the opportunity to:
Work in an endoscopy suite equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, along with anesthesia support
Collaborate with colorectal, oncologic and trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, GI pathologists and an on-site infusion clinic
Perform various endoscopic procedures
Teach medical students, residents and fellows
Conduct research and perform scholarly work
Qualifications include:
MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and board eligibility or board certification in Gastroenterology
Experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions
Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State
Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient centered care across diverse populations
Competitive salary range with incentive bonus opportunity $400,000-$450,000.

Neurology
The Department of Neurology has established programs in epilepsy, dementia, movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, pediatric neurology, pain management and stroke/neurocritical care. We serve a diverse patient population in an academic hospital setting serving 23 counties and more than 2.5 million people.
As part of the department, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team of neurologists in various subspecialties. You will have ample opportunities to teach medical students, fellows and allied support staff. Research and other scholarly work are encouraged and supported.
In general neurology, the focus will primarily be on outpatient general neurology in three locations across the Capital Region.
In addition to seeking General Neurologists (base salary $220,000-$240,000), our department is currently seeking full time BC/BE neurologists with fellowship training in the following areas:
Movement Disorders (base salary $220,000-$240,000)
Seeking a BC/BE Neurologist who has completed fellowship training in movement disorders
Participate in busy outpatient practice with expectation to participate in conduct of an active clinical trial and collaborative research program
Ideally, candidates will have expertise in management of patients treated with DBS and botulinum toxin therapy

Pathology
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking board-certified pathologists to participate in clinical services in several specialties listed below.
Fellowship training is highly desired. These positions offer a mix of clinical service, teaching and collaborative research in a supportive, collegial environment.
Teaching activities include:
Participation in unknown slide conference
Monthly morgue conference
Didactic lectures and supervising residents’ presentations such as journal club, gross conference and grand rounds.
Activities in translational research and medical student teaching can be tailored according to individual preferences and department needs.
Breast Pathology
Seeking a Board Certified Pathologist to participate in Breast pathology; fellowship training highly desired
Mix of clinical service, teaching and collaborative research

Gynecological Pathology
Seeking an AP or AP/CP board certified Pathologist to participate in Gynecological pathology; fellowship training highly desired

Neuropathology

Neuropathology frozen call coverage during weekdays
Brain cutting and participation in hospital autopsy service
AP short-call/long weekend call
Hematopathology
Seeking an AP/CP board-certified, Hematopathology fellowship-trained pathologist
Hematopathology sign-out (bone marrow, tissue, blood/CSF on a rotating basis)
Shared Hematopathology call
A second area of interest is desirable but not required
1-on-1 and group sign-out with hematopathology fellow, residents, medical students and visiting observers
Competitive base salary range commensurate with experience and academic rank: $224,000-$336,500. Total compensation will include initial sign-on bonus and significant quarterly incentive component once eligible.
