• Patient Volume/Census: Minimum 15 Patients per Day
• Case Mix: Approximately 60–65% Hematology with occasional Oncology cases; focus on benign hematology and bread-and-butter Hem/Onc conditions

• Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient oncology clinic equipment

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Evaluation and management of hematology and oncology patients
• Follow-up and new patient consultations
• Writing orders and prescriptions
• Coordination of care and communication with pharmacy team
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active North Carolina Medical License Required
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology (Dual certification preferred)
• DEA: Active DEA Required
• Certifications: BLS Required
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 Years of Hematology/Oncology Experience
• Other Qualifications: Ability to manage benign hematology cases and function in a general oncology environment
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide outpatient hematology/oncology patient care including new patient evaluations and follow-ups
• Diagnose and treat hematologic disorders with emphasis on benign hematology
• Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including nurses, APPs, pharmacy staff, and infusion specialists
• Maintain accurate documentation and utilize the Epic EMR system effectively
