Bookkeeper/ Lettings Administrator

Hewett Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a successful and growing property business in the recruitment of a Bookkeeper & Lettings Administrator. This varied and rewarding role would suit an organised and proactive individual with previous finance and administrative or property management experience who enjoys building relationships and delivering excellent customer service.
Working as part of a close-knit team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of a diverse property portfolio, acting as a central point of contact for landlords, tenants and contractors.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing property accounts, rent collection and landlord payments using Jupix and Re-Leased.
- Acting as the main contact for tenants, landlords and maintenance enquiries.
- Coordinating property inspections, maintenance works and tenancy renewals.
- Ensuring properties remain compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Managing deposits, property records and general administration.
- Liaising with contractors and overseeing vacant properties.
- Supporting marketing activities and rural estate administration, including VAT returns.
This position will work alongside another experienced lettings specialist, forming a collaborative team of two.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within property management, lettings, estate administration or a similar environment.
- Experience using Jupix, Re-Leased or equivalent property management software.
- Strong administration and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- A professional and confident communication style, both written and verbal.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A customer-focused approach with the confidence to liaise with tenants, landlords and contractors.
Additional Information
- Participation in a shared out-of-hours emergency contact rota for approximately 50% of the year.
- Requirement to provide office cover on approximately four Saturdays per year (09:00 - 12:30).
- Due to the rural location and limited public transport links, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

This is a great position for someone with a Finance or Bookkeeping background and solid admin experience, who enjoys dealing with customers.
