About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience working with CNC equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read technical prints and measurements accurately.
This position plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring all parts meet required tolerances and quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts
Read and interpret CNC blueprints and technical drawings, including tolerances down to .000
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify part accuracy
Complete required documentation including quality forms and inspection reports
Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting as needed
Use various hand tools and shop equipment such as air guns, wrenches, and drill presses
Monitor machine performance throughout the shift to maintain productivity and quality standards
Follow all safety procedures, ISO requirements, and quality control guidelines
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to address production needs and resolve issues
Required Experience & Skills
15 years of experience operating CNC machines or similar precision machining equipment
Ability to read CNC prints and understand tolerances to .000
Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
Familiarity with machine controls including start, stop, and emergency stop (E-stop)
Basic troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Trade school or technical training in machining preferred

Comfortable using common shop tools and equipment

Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Ability to apply measurements and tolerances to machine operations
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly
Frequent use of hands and arms to operate machinery and handle materials
Strong visual acuity including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus
