Graduate Project Engineer

Looking to step into your first role in the Power T&D sector and build a long‑term engineering career?

Our client, a growing high‑voltage contractor in the power utilities sector, is seeking a motivated Graduate Project Engineer to join their team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in power distribution, supporting a range of projects from renewable energy solutions to overhead line schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pricing and tendering for new project enquiries

  • Working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate cost assessments

  • Assisting with project estimations from LV to 11kV, with progression towards 33-132kV

  • Preparing detailed and competitive bid proposals

  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers and clients throughout project stages

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or Power Systems Engineering)

  • Foundational understanding of the power transmission and distribution sector

  • Interest in developing a career in estimating or design within power utilities

  • Full right to work in the UK
