About the role:
Justteachers are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bradford from September 2026.
This is a fantastic full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity for a dedicated individual who has a passion for supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their education. The successful candidate will work within the school’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) department, supporting pupils both within the classroom and through targeted interventions.
The role will involve supporting children with a range of developmental and learning needs and will include personal care responsibilities where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning activities.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development.
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Support children with additional needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation of learning resources.
- Support pupils during play-based learning activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Provide personal care support when required, ensuring children’s dignity and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Pre-requisites:
- Have previous experience working within an Early Years or EYFS setting.
- Have a good understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
- Be confident supporting children with a range of needs and abilities.
- Be comfortable carrying out personal care duties when required.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
