Job Overview
A private home in Henley-on-Thames is looking for a skilled Housekeeper and a Gardener to oversee the estate. This role presents a distinctive opportunity for a couple, with the added benefit of on-site lodging in a lovely cottage. Though staff may engage in additional local work, it is essential to prioritise the needs of this client above all else.
Key Responsibilities
Gardener (20 Hours per Week)
Maintenance: Comprehensive upkeep of the estate gardens, lawns, and grounds to a high standard.
Knowledge: Expert care of seasonal planting, hedging, and borders.
Priority: The client must remain the primary focus, though supplementary local work is permitted.
Housekeeper (6 Hours per Week)
Housekeeping: Full cleaning, laundry, and wardrobe management for a three-bedroom home occupied by two adults.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in high-net-worth or private households is essential.
A professional, discreet, and flexible approach to service.
Proven horticultural expertise and garden maintenance skills.
Ability to manage time effectively between gardening and housekeeping duties.
Terms of Employment
Working Hours: Gardening (20 hours per week). Housekeeping (6 hours per week). Specific days to be agreed, typically Monday to Friday.
Flexibility: Some flexibility is required for weekends. Additional work will be paid as overtime.
Days Off: Saturday and Sunday (subject to occasional flexibility).
Salary: £22,000 to £25,000 Gross Per Annum.
Accommodation: A three-bedroom cottage located on the estate.
Utilities: Bills paid by the employer
Pets: The employer is open to discussing the inclusion of pets.
