About the Role

Sales Account Manager<p>Fortiva Additives is seeking a high-impact Sales Account Manager – Ruminant to drive growth within large commercial dairies and feedlot operations across the Western U.S. This role will focus on delivering science-backed feed additive solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong nutrition and production system knowledge, with the ability to influence consulting nutritionists, veterinarians, and large-scale producers. This individual will translate technical data into clear economic value, positioning Fortiva as a trusted partner in optimizing herd performance and profitability.</p><p></p><p><u><b>Responsibiliites:</b></u></p><p></p><p><b>Drive Growth in Large Dairy & Feedlot Accounts, and influence key decision makers</b></p><ul><li>Achieve sales targets by expanding additive adoption within <b>high-volume dairies and commercial feedyards</b>, focusing on measurable performance outcomes (e.g., milk yield, components, ADG, feed efficiency).</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Lead Strategic, Nutritionist-Aligned Account Plans</b></p><ul><li>Develop and execute account strategies in partnership with consulting nutritionists and production teams, aligning solutions to ration strategies, herd goals, and economic drivers (e.g., IOFC, cost of gain).</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Provide Market Intelligence & Customer Insights</b></p><ul><li>Capture and communicate insights on ration trends, ingredient economics, health challenges, and customer needs to inform innovation and portfolio strategy</li></ul><p></p><p>#LI-RS1</p><p></p><p><b>Execute Producer & Nutritionist Engagement</b></p><ul><li>Lead technical discussions, producer meetings, and educational events that reinforce best practices and drive adoption of additive technologies.</li><li>Participate in dairy and beef industry events, nutritionist meetings, and trade associations to strengthen brand presence and expand networks.</li><li><span>Expected to help continue growth of ruminant sales by 5% over the next 12 months. </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Experience/Knowledge/Skills</b><b>:  </b></p><ul><li>PhD in Animal Science, Dairy Science is highly preferred.</li><li>10+ years of experience in ruminant nutrition, feed additives, animal health, or livestock sales, with exposure to commercial dairy or feedlot systems.</li><li>Demonstrated success working with large accounts and/or nutritionist-led sales environments.</li><li><span>Direct experience with large-scale dairies or commercial feedywards preferred, with strong understanding of dairy production and/ or feedlot performance metrics. Experience with ration formulation and additive inclusion strategies beneficial to success in this role. </span></li><li><span>Travel 50-80%.
