Marketplace Growth & Partnerships Manager (Supply Acquisition)
- 6-month contract
- £55,000 salary
- London office (1-2 days per week)
We are hiring a commercially driven operator to build and scale a new supply vertical within a global marketplace. This role sits at the intersection of growth, partnerships, and operations, with direct ownership of supply acquisition and performance across the UK.
This is not a passive marketing role. You will be expected to identify opportunities, unlock supply at scale, and execute relentlessly in a fast-moving environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and optimising supply across high-impact categories, including student accommodation, hostels, and group travel inventory. The mandate is clear: ensure supply meets demand, remove friction, and scale efficiently.
You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Business, and Partnerships teams to align supply with demand moments and unlock new growth channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive acquisition of high-volume supply partners across the UK, focusing on underutilised inventory
- Build and manage partner pipelines from outreach through to onboarding and go-live
- Optimise supply performance through pricing, availability, and merchandising strategies
- Support new partners through early lifecycle ramp (first 3-6 months) to ensure success
- Collaborate with marketing to align supply with demand peaks (seasonal, campaigns, events)
- Identify and unlock new supply channels through partnerships with universities and accommodation providers
- Track performance metrics, pipeline progress, and supply-side KPIs
- Surface insights on pricing, availability gaps, and market opportunities
What You Bring
- 1-4 years' experience in business development, partnerships, marketplace growth, or programme management
- Strong commercial instinct with a clear understanding of supply/demand dynamics
- Proven ability to execute and deliver in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Experience managing multiple workstreams with strong organisational discipline
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
- Confident stakeholder management across cross-functional teams
- Track record of building or scaling initiatives from early-stage environments
Profile
- Commercially sharp and execution-focused
- Comfortable operating without structure and building from scratch
- Proactive, resilient, and outcome-oriented
- Low ego, high ownership
