You will work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping students build confidence, follow routines, stay focused, and access learning at the right level, while working closely with teachers and wider staff.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>The Candidate:</strong><br> You are calm, observant, and able to build positive relationships with pupils who need consistency and encouragement. You communicate clearly, stay patient in a busy SEN setting, and want practical school-based experience that helps you understand how pupils with additional needs are supported day to day.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>Requirements</strong><br><ul><li>Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.</li><li>Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.</li><li>Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.</li><li>Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.</li><li>Career Goals – A desire to pursue a career in educational or clinical psychology.</li></ul><strong> </strong><br><strong>The School:</strong><br> This SEN school in Selly Oak offers an exciting opportunity for a Psychology Graduate Academic Mentor to take on a permanent role from September 2026.
