We focus on excellence, offering premier value to our customers.   Arcosa Wind Towers is now hiring a Facility Maintenance. As the Facility Maintenance, you’ll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.     Job Location: Newton, IA     What you’ll do: Maintain attendance within acceptable standards Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment Perform basic troubleshooting/single phase/240v Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics Perform basic carpentry and plumbing repairs May tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairs Troubleshoot breakdowns on production equipment and mechanical components Wire electrical panels Install equipment from the ground up Break down and repair and/or rebuild     What you’ll need: Preferred Experience: Up to 2 Years Certifications: NAPA70E (Arcosa will train and certify) Technical Skills: Carpentry and plumbing Read, write and speak proficiently in English Desire to learn Team player Flexible Attention to detail Interest & aptitude for technology Dependable and punctual Work ethic Organized Strong communication skills Time management Adaptable Decision making Ability to cross train Problem solving Conflict & stress management Leadership skills Persuasion     Working Conditions: Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds. This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant     Safety Activities: Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
