Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Accountant Consultant for a Global Medical Device Company in El Segundo, CA Contract | Hybrid| $110 - $135 per hour  Summary Immediate contract opportunity for a Senior Accountant with Big 4 or public accounting experience and SAP exposure. This role will support month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and accounting process improvement initiatives within a shared services environment. The Senior Accountant will assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting, while helping strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting workflows. This role will also partner with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and shared services initiatives. The ideal candidate brings Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience, strong knowledge of GAAP, and exposure to SAP S/4HANA, financial reporting, and accounting process improvement. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries Perform account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by staff Prepare financial analysis and reporting for management Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls Lead accounting projects including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) Create training documentation for onboarding and cross-training Support SAP S/4HANA upgrade testing Partner with internal teams and external auditors as needed Qualifications Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting 5+ years of accounting experience 2+ years public accounting experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively Preferred Experience with SAP Audit experience Tableau experience Exposure to AI tools or automation technologies #D800 JSG offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, short-term disability, 401(k), weekly pay, and more.
