Site Supervisor - Wastewater Treatment Location: Bristol Salary: Competitive day rate + long-term programme workWe're recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of major upgrade works across water recycling and wastewater treatment facilities in Bristol, working within a long-term water framework programme.This role will focus on projects within operational treatment plants, including works associated with biogas infrastructure, MEICA installations and civil upgrades within live wastewater environments.Working directly within the framework delivery team, you will play a key role ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and regulatory standards. The RoleAs Site Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day site activities across wastewater treatment and water recycling projects in Bristol, coordinating subcontractors and supporting project delivery across treatment plant upgrades and process improvements.Operating within live wastewater treatment facilities, you will ensure works are delivered safely while maintaining operational integrity across the site. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily site activities across wastewater treatment and water recycling projectsCoordinate works associated with biogas infrastructure, treatment process upgrades and MEICA installationsManage subcontractors delivering civil, mechanical and electrical worksEnsure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirementsDeliver daily site briefings, toolbox talks and safety updatesMaintain site permits, safety documentation and inspection recordsEnsure compliance with water authority standards, environmental regulations and site proceduresMonitor quality of workmanship and subcontractor performanceCarry out site inspections in line with method statements, ITPs and project specificationsSupport temporary works, lifting activities and confined space operations where requiredAssist with materials coordination, plant allocation and progress reportingMaintain strong communication with the Site Manager, Project Manager and client representatives About YouYou will be an experienced Site Supervisor with a background in wastewater treatment or water recycling projects, ideally with experience working on biogas systems or anaerobic digestion infrastructure.EssentialProven experience as a Site Supervisor within the water or wastewater sectorExperience working on water recycling or wastewater treatment plant projectsExperience operating within live operational treatment facilitiesStrong understanding of permit systems, safety procedures and site quality standardsExperience supervising subcontractors and multidisciplinary delivery teamsStrong communication and coordination skillsDesirableExperience working with biogas systems or anaerobic digestion processesExperience supporting MEICA installation works or treatment plant upgradesPrevious experience working on water framework projects Qualifications & CertificationsJIB Card / CSCS cardNVQ / 17th - 18th EditionSSSTS or SMSTSEUSR SHEA WaterFirst Aid at WorkConfined Space certification (desirable)Full UK Driving Licence What's on OfferCompetitive day rateOpportunity to work on major wastewater treatment and water recycling projects in BristolLong-term involvement within a major AMP water framework programmeWork on technically complex biogas and treatment plant infrastructure upgradesStable project environment with an experienced delivery team If you're a Site Supervisor with wastewater treatment and biogas experience, this is an opportunity to play a key role delivering critical water recycling infrastructure projects across Bristol.
