Senior Field Engineer – Server, Networking and Storage experience

<p><span><strong>Senior Field Engineer &ndash; Server, Networking and Storage Data Centre experience</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Leeds and the surrounding areas</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Full-time</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Permanent</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Up to &pound;38,000pa (depending on experience) + &pound;5000 Car Allowance</strong></span></p> <p><span>Our client, who are a channel-only partner for IT third-party maintenance, are looking for a Senior Engineer to join their team.</span></p> <p><span><strong>Role and responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Triaging and resolving customers Server, Storage &amp; Network issues</span></li> <li><span>Take ownership of customer issues and problems that could impact their contractual Service Level Agreement.</span></li> <li><span>To receive, investigate, and respond to technical assistance requests</span></li> <li><span>To be responsible for general fault maintenance calls and the arrangements for parts to be ordered where required</span></li> <li><span>To deal with general support</span></li> <li><span>To be involved with pre-sales technicalities</span></li> <li><span>To participate on regional 24/7 out of Hours Rota where required in line with business needs</span></li> <li><span>To act as &lsquo;cover&rsquo; engineer on Out of Hours when/if</span></li> <li><span>To identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions</span></li> <li><span>To work closely with others within the Service Operations including Service Delivery, The Service Desk, Logistics, and Purchasing in order to ensure high customer service levels are provided at all times.</span></li> <li><span>To maintain accurate information through internal systems and documentation and recording customer updates as and when required.</span></li> <li><span>To maintain up to date technical knowledge and expertise in accordance with industry</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>Experience:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Experience in: Server, Storage &amp; Network devices.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with manufacturers such as: IBM, SUN, Cisco, Dell, HP, NetApp, Fujitsu, EMC, and Hitachi are desirable.</span></li> <li><span>Previous experience of working within the IT Maintenance Services Industry.</span></li> <li><span>Experience of providing support to external customers, and IT System Engineers with the ability to provide a professional and reliable service at all times.</span></li> <li><span>Must have strong written and verbal communication skills</span></li> <li><span>Strong organisational skills.</span></li> <li><span>Must be flexible to work outside of core business hours where business needs require.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to plan and prioritise your own workload</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>This is a full-time permanent position Monday &ndash; Friday with an on call rota (approx) 1 week in 5&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><strong><span>A driving licence is essential for this role</span></strong></p> <p><span>The areas covered will Leeds and the surround surrounding areas.
