About the Role

<div> <p><strong>Exciting Opportunity:</strong></p> <p>We have a thrilling opening to be part of our team in South Burlington, Vermont as a Operations/Shop Manager. In this position, you will assist in managing a team of technicians in organizing overall tasks, supervision, and coordinating work with other departments to meet deadlines and operate effectively. The South Burlington Operations/Shop Manager will support employees to ensure they are adequately trained for their duties and that their training records are kept up to date. You will oversee all EH&amp;S/CORE/Quality/ITC activities and will carry out various technical and administrative responsibilities in support of the Manager while acting as the intermediary with the corporation and its Clients. This role will be on our 2nd shift, which runs Sunday-Wednesday from 3:30pm-1:30am. You will undergo training on our 1st shift for up to 6 months before transitioning to the 2nd shift.</p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise a team of technicians at the South Burlington Service Center.</p> </li> <li> <p>Establish daily, weekly, and monthly goals and communicate them to staff.</p> </li> <li> <p>Organize workflow by assigning tasks and creating schedules.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide guidance and coaching to employees, monitoring their efficiency.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure safe equipment use and schedule regular maintenance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Identify areas for improvement in efficiency and suggest enhancements.</p> </li> <li> <p>Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company protocols.</p> </li> <li> <p>Handle all EH&amp;S/CORE/Quality/ITC activities in the area.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support employees in ensuring they are adequately trained and that training records are kept up to date.</p> </li> <li> <p>Aid HR in administering the FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assist in organizing overall activities and coordinating work with other departments to meet goals.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support Ops Manager with administrative duties.</p> </li> </ul> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree and at least 5+ years’ experience as an A&amp;P Technician with knowledge of operational procedures, or an Associate&#8217;s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.</p> </li> <li> <p>FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.</p> </li> <li> <p>Prior experience working with or leading cross-functional teams.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of developing innovative solutions to simple and complex problems.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior experience as a supervisor, shift lead, or in another leadership role.</p> </li> <li> <p>Self-motivated, high-energy individual with the drive to guide and lead.</p> </li> <li> <p>Effective communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of management.</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Previous technical experience with aircraft engine products.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, CORE tools.</p> </li> <li> <p>Previous involvement in aviation aftermarket support.</p> </li> </ul> <p>Role Type: As we shape the future of flight and our work environment, we have introduced role types to clarify how you will function in our hybrid work setting.</p> <p>This position is:</p> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Onsite</strong>: Employees in Onsite roles will primarily work on-site.
