<p class="isSelectedEnd">A well-established and highly respected organisation within the recycling and resource recovery sector is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join its operations team in Nottingham.</p>

<h3>The Role</h3>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Reporting into site management, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the non-ferrous metals department, ensuring a smooth and continuous flow of materials through the plant. This position blends practical, on-the-ground duties with team leadership, compliance, and performance management.</p>

<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead and supervise the non-ferrous team on a daily basis</li>
<li>Allocate labour effectively to meet production and operational targets</li>
<li>Ensure all pre-start checks are completed across plant and machinery</li>
<li>Oversee routine maintenance activities including cleaning and upkeep</li>
<li>Sort and process materials in line with strict quality standards</li>
<li>Operate plant and machinery where required (including mobile plant)</li>
<li>Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping</li>
<li>Ensure full compliance with PPE, SOPs, and environmental regulations</li>
<li>Monitor stock levels of consumables to minimise downtime</li>
<li>Support wider site operations and continuous improvement initiatives</li>

<h3>About You</h3>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role</li>
<li>Strong organisational and workload prioritisation skills</li>
<li>Background in waste, recycling, metals, or heavy industry</li>
<li>Solid knowledge of non-ferrous materials</li>
<li>Confident communicator with the ability to motivate and lead a team</li>
<li>Practical experience with plant and machinery is advantageous</li>
<li>Strong awareness of Health & Safety and environmental standards</li>
