About the Role
<strong>Quality Controllers </strong>sought by a £multimillion pound food products manufacturer to join their team in Bilston. <br> <br>There are 2 x PM shifts available. Hours of work:<br> <br>Tuesday to Thursday: 2.45pm to 10.45pm<br>Friday: 2.15pm to 10pm<br>Saturday 8.30am to 5pm<br> <br><strong>What will you be doing?</strong><br>As a Quality Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards. <br> <br>You will be responsible for implementing quality assurance processes, analysing production procedures, and adhering to HACCP guidelines to maintain product integrity and safety.<br> <br><strong>Your daily Quality Controller duties will include:</strong><br><ul><li>Ensure that the factory is complying with HACCP procedures and specifications, assessing quality, reporting any discrepancies where necessary</li><ul><li>Carry out Critical Control Point (CCP) checks in accordance with their training, records of which must be retained on site</li><li>Shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the site HACCP plan</li><li>Shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the requirements of the BRCGS Standards</li><li>Reporting of any issues with the quality of the product and sending pictures where necessary to the Supervisor</li><li>Raise any non-conformance activity with Quality and Production Management</li><li>Carry out verification checks of calibration of measuring equipment (scales / checkweighers, etc.) in accordance with the QA schedule</li><li>Make sure all paperwork is correct for traceability purposes</li><li>Perform specific audits on a daily basis such as pre-start-up checks and hygiene checks and liaise with management at all levels when reporting results</li><li>Co-ordinate documents and investigate complaints, solve problems, taking the relevant corrective action</li><li>Perform organoleptic panels and microbiological sampling when require; which involves collecting and collating samples</li><li>Ensure that the correct PPE is worn by all staff at all times within the factory</li><li>Be part of investigation of Customer Complaints, Customer rejections, GPM in and around the factory</li><li>Be aware of, understand and adhere to the maintenance of good GMP</li><li>Make sure all product is checked correctly and documents all completed accurately</li><li>Ensure procedures are implemented to provide a safe and legal product</li></ul></ul><strong> </strong><br><strong>As a Quality Controller, you will demonstrate:</strong><br><ul><li>Proven experience in a quality control or assurance role, preferably within the food industry.</li><ul><li>Strong understanding of HACCP principles and their application in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.</li><li>Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Relevant qualifications in Quality Assurance or related fields are advantageous but not essential.</li></ul></ul> <br><strong>What’s In it For You?</strong><br><ul><li>£13.10 per hour basic rate</li><ul><li>£13.85 per hour after 6pm</li><li>£15.20 per hour on Saturdays</li><li>92 hours per week</li><li>Overtime available at 1.25x</li><li>28 days holiday</li><li>Unpaid breaks: 2 x 20 minutes per day</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Free parking</li><li>On-site parking</li><li>Full training provided</li><li>Company pension</li><li>Discounted or free food</li></ul></ul> <br><strong>Quality Controller x 2 – PM shift</strong><br><strong> </strong><br><strong>Bilston, West Midlands</strong><br><strong> </strong><br><strong>£13.10 per hour, £13.85 evening rate, £15.20 Saturday rate + overtime + benefits</strong>
