About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a confident, enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school from September. This full-time supply role is ideal for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about helping children thrive and who can provide high-quality classroom support across the primary age range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacher, using pre-planned lessons and resources.
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions to help raise attainment in literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum areas.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback.
Pre-requisites:
- Holds HLTA status or has strong, relevant school-based experience.
- Has previous experience working within a primary school setting.
- Is confident leading learning and managing classroom behaviour.
- Has excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- Is flexible, proactive and able to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Has a nurturing, child-centred approach and a genuine passion for education.
