If so, this Senior Accountant opportunity could be for you.</p> <p>See what people are saying about working here:</p> <p>“The Controller is top shelf!”<br /> “Quick access to surrounding Fairfield County locations.”<br /> “Collaborative and fun working environment!”<br /> “Great opportunity to work for an emerging eco-friendly design company.”</p> <p>Title: Senior Accountant<br /> Salary: $80,000 to $110,000 Bonus eligible<br /> Location: Norwalk, CT</p> <p>A highly regarded environmentally focused building design firm providing design and planning services to corporate, commercial, and residential clients is seeking to hire a quality Senior Accountant to assist the Controller with accounting activities including posting journal entries, supporting the firm’s financial close activities, and performing a variety of reconciliation activity. This is a quickly growing family-friendly firm offering a collaborative and fun environment for its talented team.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Assisting the Controller with day-to-day accounting day activities including preparing journal entries related to month-end closing activities.<br /> Reviewing the general ledger for accuracy and preparing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and reconciling bank statements.<br /> Assisting with the preparation of the weekly payroll.<br /> Preparing time analysis reports on projects as needed.<br /> Managing the Accounts Payable process, obtaining W-9 from vendors, and procession payments.<br /> Managing the fixed asset ledger.<br /> Periodic performance of ad hoc projects and related analysis.<br /> Proven ability to learn new systems quickly is essential.<br /> Advance experience in MS Excel, including prior experience with Pivot Tables and or Vlookup would be a plus.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred,<br /> 5 plus years of accounting experience desirable.<br /> Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and attention to detail.<br /> Prior experience working at a building design, and/or service-based firm, and/or project accounting is a plus, but not mandatory.</p>
