EU Data Act Minimum Viable Compliance - Vehicle Data Access & Sharing
This scope outlines the technical, legal, and operational work required to meet the EU Data Act obligations mandating direct user access to connected vehicle data and user‑authorised data sharing with third parties.
• Data Ingestion & Enablement
o Ensuring raw and pre-processed data in scope of the act is available in our data platform to surface to APIs
o Harmonisation of data to leverage an open standard such as VISS
o Manual meta data association of datasets to ensure the data is searchable, any fields with exceptions are excluded
• Data Access
o Enable user access to data in:
Near real-time stream (continuous feed - MQTT)
On demand point-in-time request (REST)
Historical data retrieval within user selected timeframes
o Build APIs that expose data in machine‑readable, standardised formats, supporting interoperability requirements and cross‑sector data flows
o Access controls - Role/policy-based controls aligned with data categories and user permissions
o Logging capability
• Data Control
o Vehicle and meta data presentation - providing listing their vehicle(s), associated metadata, and available data categories
o Support for user driven selection - which vehicle(s) they want to access, what data categories. Specified period for retrieval/sharing or timeframe for historical data request

Education - A third level degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science/Engineering related field or equivalent experience
