Position Summary Reporting to the Pastor, the Fundraising Manager plays a vital role in supporting Holy Innocents Parish by developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, planning and executing campaigns and events, and managing donor databases and records. This position serves as a key member of the parish administrative team, working closely with the pastor, finance council, parishioners, and other stakeholders to strengthen the parish’s mission and ensure long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Planning & Campaign Leadership - Develop and execute a long-term development strategy aligned with the parish’s priorities. - Lead capital campaigns, major gift initiatives, and other fundraising efforts to secure philanthropic support for parish needs. - Plan and implement donor events, regional gatherings, and on-site engagement opportunities. - Fundraising & Donor Relations - Oversee all areas of development, including parishioner engagement, annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, and event-based fundraising. - Serve as the primary liaison between the parish and donors, ensuring timely communication, impact reporting, and donor appreciation initiatives. - Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, providing personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies. - Partner with the pastor and key stakeholders to expand the donor pipeline, leveraging networks to engage new prospects. - Prepare and submit grant proposals to secure additional funding. - Collaboration & Parish Advancement - Work closely with communications and marketing teams to develop cohesive messaging and strategies that support donor engagement. - Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with fundraising activities. - Build and sustain strong relationships with parishioners and community partners to enhance involvement and philanthropic support. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications · Education & Experience: 2–3 years of experience in fundraising, development, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related area (parish or faith-based experience a plus). · Fundraising Expertise: Knowledge of best practices in annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, and donor engagement; proven ability to plan and execute campaigns and events. · Relationship & Communication Skills: Strong ability to build relationships with donors, parishioners, and stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting compelling donor messages. · Technical Skills: Proficiency in donor management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. · Organizational Strength: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently. · Mission Alignment: Understanding of Catholic values and parish life; commitment to advancing the Church’s mission. · Professional Integrity: Discretion in handling confidential donor information; collaborative team player with a positive, mission-driven attitude. · Flexibility: Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events; approximately 20 hours per week with some remote work possible. Working Conditions - This is a part-time position with flexible office hours. - Some evening and weekend work may be required. - A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. - Occasional travel within the Archdiocese for meetings and events. Physical Requirements - The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects or controls, reach with arms, climb stairs, and talk or hear. - Must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 25 lbs.
