SALES CONTROLLER – DSR (DISTRIBUTOR SALES REGION)

As our Sales Controller – DSR, you will act as the key finance partner to the Commercial organization for distributor markets, driving performance, strengthening governance, and enabling value‑creating commercial decisions across the Europe Distributors Market (EDM).
THE ROLE

As our Sales Controller – DSR, you play a critical role in partnering with Sales to drive profitable distributor growth. You will own end‑to‑end distributor P&L performance, lead forecasting and planning cycles, challenge commercial assumptions, and deliver insight‑led analysis to support senior decision‑making within a complex, multinational environment.
You will be reporting to the EDM Finance leadership, and you will manage:
1. Commercial Finance & Distributor Business Partnering
Act as key finance sparring partner to the Commercial (Sales) teams managing distributor markets
Provide financial leadership on distributor negotiations, pricing, trade terms, and investments
Challenge assumptions and improve forecast quality to drive profitable growth
Support distributor performance reviews and customer profitability analyses
Deliver ad‑hoc financial analysis (pricing scenarios, ROI, distributor mix)
2. Financial Reporting & Performance Management
Own and analyse end‑to‑end distributor P&L from Gross Sales to Gross Margin
Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent monthly reporting and management reviews
Analyse variances vs. Plan, Forecast, and Latest Estimate; translate insights into actions
Monitor risks and opportunities to ensure financial commitments are met
Support Monthly Business Updates and senior stakeholder discussions
3. Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead planning drumbeats for DSR within EDM (Forecasts, Monthly Outlooks, AOP)
Prepare, challenge, and consolidate Sales forecasts with full Commercial ownership
Support Forecast and AOP reviews and sign‑off processes
Develop and maintain robust financial models and planning tools
Continuously improve templates, processes, and forecasting quality
4. Governance, Controls & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Ensure strong financial governance in line with Coty policies and U.S. GAAP
Support SOX controls, internal and external audits, and corporate reporting
Partner with Market Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, and Demand Planning
Ensure data consistency and smooth month‑end close
Contribute to cross‑functional and finance transformation projects
YOU ARE A COTY FIT
As a commercially minded finance professional, you thrive in fast‑paced, international environments and confidently challenge stakeholders to drive better outcomes.
Your skills and experience include:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Minimum 4 years’ experience in Commercial Finance, Controlling, FP&A, or Audit
Proven experience partnering with Sales or Commercial teams
Advanced Excel, Power Query, and financial modelling skills
Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complexity into insights
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
High standards of accuracy, ethics, and reliability
Proactive, hands‑on, and resilient attitude
Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
