ASA Recruitment is partnering with a local authority to recruit Domestics for care home settings across Edinburgh. If you are looking for consistency, routine, and long term stability where quality, precision and Reliability are central to every shift.
We are looking for individuals with experience in professional cleaning who take pride in delivering outstanding quality and high standards through effective sanitising and disinfecting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of environmental cleanliness across different areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms and communal spaces.
- Deliver thorough environmental decontamination of all assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dust control, polishing and surface cleaning
- Perform enhanced sanitisation and disinfection of all touchpoints and high risk surfaces in line with infection prevention and control protocols
- Maintain strict precision in all hygiene procedures to ensure compliance with infection control standards and minimise cross contamination risk
- Ensure consistent quality assurance in cleaning practices through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to clinical cleaning schedules
- Safely handle, dilute and apply cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations and organisational procedures
- Correct use of PPE at all times to maintain personal and environmental safety standards
- Carry out appropriate handling and disposal of clinical and general waste in line with waste management protocols
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, fixtures, and sanitary areas are consistently sanitised and disinfected to a high clinical standard of quality and cleanliness
- Undertake routine checks and inspections with a high level of precision, ensuring ongoing compliance with hygiene and environmental standards
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in cleaning, domestic, or facilities roles with a strong focus on quality and precision
- Solid understanding of hygiene procedures, including sanitising and disinfecting practices
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining excellent standards
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a structured environment
