Exam Invigilator – Alternative Provision / PRUBexhill and surrounding areas Competitive hourly rate £14.25 | Weekly pay
We are currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support students within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) / Alternative Provision setting during exam periods. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who may need additional support, patience, and understanding to succeed.
The Role:You will play a key role in ensuring exams run smoothly while creating a calm, supportive, and structured environment. Many students may have experienced barriers to mainstream education, so your presence and approach will be essential in helping them feel settled and able to engage.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising students during exams in line with regulations
Maintaining a calm, controlled, and supportive environment
Building positive rapport while upholding exam conditions
Managing low-level behaviours confidently and professionally
Distributing and collecting exam materials
Reporting any issues or irregularities
What We’re Looking For:
Calm, patient, and resilient individuals
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build trust and rapport with young people
Confident managing behaviour and maintaining boundaries
Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach
A genuine interest in supporting young people in alternative settings
Experience:Experience working with children or in education, SEND, PRU, or youth settings is a strong advantage, but not essential. The right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are just as important.
