Liaises with remote admissions to team. Establishes professional rapport with client to ensure that they feel welcomed upon arrival.</strong></p><p style="margin: 0px;">Days are Wednesday - Saturday. Hours are 4:00pm - 2:00am.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"><br />Supports client arrival process, including initial assessment process, searching the client’s belongings/person for prohibited items, and orienting the client to the facility. Hours are 4:00pm - 2:00am.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br /><br />• Liaise with client/family of potential admissions to address any questions, concerns, etc.<br />• Coordinate facility tours with clients and families who are potential admissions.<br />• Interface with remote admissions team and on-site clinical team for necessary approvals, plan for client<br />arrival, including travel arrangements as applicable.<br />• Establishes professional rapport with client to ensure that they feel welcomed upon arrival.<br />• Supports arrival process including coordinating assessment/bed placement process, searches of client<br />belongings/person for prohibited items.<br />• Orients client to the facility/milieu.<br />• Liaises with direct care/nursing/clinical team to ensure client is set-up with a treatment plan/schedule<br />as needed.<br />• Ensures intake paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and documentation is maintained as<br />required.<br />• May discuss client’s financial responsibility and take payment as applicable.<br />• Provides exceptional customer service in line with Acadia Healthcare standards.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><br><p style="margin: 0px;">STANDARD EXPECTATIONS:<br /><br />• Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains<br />organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality.<br />• Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) receiving services and their family members, guests<br />and other members of the health care team.<br />• Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over<br />time.<br />• Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.<br />Page 2 of 4<br />Intake Specialist (Specialty) 07/10/2023<br />• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"><br />EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:<br /><br />• High-school diploma, GED, or equivalent.<br />• 1 – 2 years of experience in a patient care environment in a substance use/behavioral health setting, is<br />preferred.<br />• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, and an ability to use required<br />computer programs.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"><br />LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:<br /><br />• De-escalation training, CPR and/or First-Aid certification as required by facility</p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"><span>We are committed to</span><span> providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"><span>GALAX</span></p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"><span>#LI-LCG</span></p>
