You’ll be responsible for the installation, ongoing maintenance, and necessary repairs for the facility and the production equipment. You will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. We innovate the nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.<br>The Maintenance Technician focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining systems critical to feed manufacturing, including but not limited to batching, drying, packaging, and material handling equipment. This position plays a key role in miniminizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting safe, efficient operations.<br>Troubleshoot, repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, robotic, and hydraulic systems.<br>Maintain and repair equipment including but not limited to:Conveyors (drag, screw, bucket elevators)<br>Mixers and batching systems<br>Automated and manual packaging equipment<br>Fluid bed dryer<br><br>Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime<br>Diagnose equipment failures using meters, diagnostic tools, and PLC interfaces<br>Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) and ensure all work is performed safely<br>Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manualsWork cross-functionally with operations to prioritize and execute repairs<br>Document work completed in Express Maintenance<br>Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others<br>Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed<br>Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment<br>Required Experience and Skills:<br>Must be 18 years or older<br>1-3+ years of industrial or building facility maintenance experience<br>Basic computer and math skills<br> Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals<br>Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot<br> Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful<br> <br>Preferred Experience:<br>5+ years’ experience working with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.<br> LOTO experience<br> Forklift experience<br>Physical Requirements:<br>Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds<br> Frequent movements include walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements<br>Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment<br>Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present<br><br>Nothing in this job description restricts the management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.<br>Land O’Lakes, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) M/F/Vets/Disabled.
