About the Role

<p>We’re looking for a Lead Integration &amp; Additive Engineer who will play a pivotal role in scaling our advanced manufacturing capabilities. This role will be responsible for integrating additive manufacturing processes into high-volume production, optimizing print farm performance, and ensuring rapid iteration between hardware, software, and production systems.&nbsp;You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams, while owning the reliability, efficiency, and throughput of our additive manufacturing and integration workflows.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operate in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity production environment, bridging R&amp;D and manufacturing</li> <li>Manage and optimize a 24/7 print farm, maximizing machine uptime, utilization, and throughput</li> <li>Own mass-production slicing strategies, ensuring consistency, speed, and print quality at scale</li> <li>Develop and maintain automation pipelines using Python and MAVLink for print workflows, monitoring, and system control</li> <li>Lead batch validation processes, accelerating end-of-line (EoL) testing and reducing cycle times</li> <li>Diagnose and execute rapid hardware repairs, minimizing downtime and recovering rejected units</li> <li>Implement preventative maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and lifespan</li> <li>Troubleshoot complex integration issues across hardware, firmware, and software systems</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement in print quality, yield, and process efficiency</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware engineering, firmware/software teams, and operations</li> <li>Support scaling from prototyping to high-volume production, ensuring robust and repeatable processes</li> <li>Establish and track performance metrics (uptime, yield, throughput, failure rates)</li> <li>Interface with external vendors and equipment providers as needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong hands-on experience in additive manufacturing in production environments</li> <li>Proven expertise in mass-production slicing and print optimization</li> <li>Experience working in high-throughput or 24/7 production settings</li> <li>M.Sc. in Robotics, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field&nbsp;</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Python and MAVLink-based automation</li> <li>Strong capabilities in hardware troubleshooting and rapid repair</li> <li>Experience with slicing software, print farm management tools, and monitoring systems</li> <li>Familiarity with embedded systems, firmware debugging, and hardware-software integration</li> <li>Ability to operate with high ownership and independence in production-critical environments</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and execution under time pressure</li> <li>EU Citizenship required</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Auterion</strong></p> <p>We are building the leading software platform for AI-powered autonomous systems for enterprise and government customers.
