Position: Aluminum TIG Welder (Temporary – 6 to 9 Month Assignment)

Location: Mukilteo, WA

Pay: $31.00 - $41.00 per hour DOE

Schedule: Full-Time | Schedule to be discussed during the interview process

Who We Are:
Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Mukilteo to find an experienced Aluminum TIG Welder for a temporary assignment expected to last 6 to 9 months. This is an excellent opportunity to join a quality-focused team producing precision components requiring exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

What You'll Do:
  • Weld aluminum components to vacuum-tight standards.
  • Select, install, and adjust welding tips, shielding gas, filler wire, and gas tanks according to weld specifications.
  • Secure parts and assemblies using clamps and custom fixturing.
  • Review completed weldments for conformance to specifications using measuring tools such as calipers and rulers.
  • Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, verbal instructions, and written work instructions.
  • Perform weld repairs and rework as required.
  • Identify, resolve, and/or report welding issues according to established company procedures.
  • Complete and submit Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support team objectives and assist with additional tasks as needed.
  • Follow all quality standards, environmental regulations, and occupational safety requirements.

What You Need to Have:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience performing Aluminum TIG welding.
  • Minimum of 1 year of welding experience, including professional, apprenticeship, or trade school settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to utilize small hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
  • Excellent work ethic and dependability.

The Musts:
  • Proven Aluminum TIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and workmanship expectations.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods while performing job duties.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.

Preferred:
  • Experience welding to vacuum-tight standards.
  • Experience working within manufacturing or aerospace environments.
  • Familiarity with completing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Additional welding certifications are a plus.
