About the Role
Electricians (residential) Location: Across London and surrounding areas Salary: Competitive / Negotiable (depending on experience) Role: We are hiring on behalf of our clients, who include residential electrical contractors, housing associations, and high-end domestic builders. Because projects vary heavily from fast-paced social housing maintenance and rewires to luxury bespoke residential fit-outs, we are looking for skilled, fully qualified Residential Electricians capable of delivering high-quality domestic installations and repairs. Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and upgrade domestic electrical systems, including full and partial rewires, consumer unit (fuse board) upgrades, and earthing arrangements. • First and second-fix installation of domestic lighting, switches, sockets, smart home systems, and power supplies for kitchen and bathroom renovations. • Carry out fault-finding, maintenance, and reactive repairs on residential single- phase systems, responding to emergency breakdown calls when required. • Read, interpret, and work accurately from residential architectural plans, wiring schematics, and job schedules. • Maintain a clean, hazard-free working area inside occupied or empty properties, communicate professionally with residents, and strictly adhere to all health and safety guidelines, RAMS, and protective equipment regulations. Requirements • Proven experience working as an Electrician within domestic or residential environments (occupied housing, new-build housing, or domestic extensions). • A valid ECS Gold Card or relevant JIB registration is highly preferred for site-based work. • Certifications: Must hold 18th Edition (BS 7671) regulations. Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations (or equivalent domestic installer certifications like NICEIC/NAPIT registration) is required. • Health & Safety: A full and thorough understanding of on-site health and safety regulations, including Safe Isolation procedures (LOTO), working safely in domestic lofts/confined spaces, asbestos awareness, and proper use of PPE. • Testing (Desirable): C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 in Inspection and Testing (for completing EICRs and domestic certificates) is highly advantageous. • Tools: Possession of your own comprehensive set of hand tools, cordless power tools (including chasing tools), and calibrated test equipment.
