About the Role

Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with additional needs in a welcoming and well-established primary school in Eastville, Bristol. This full-time role begins in Term 5 and offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s learning and development. ________________________________________ About the School This GOOD-rated primary school is known for its strong inclusive ethos, excellent staff retention and experienced leadership team. The school places a big emphasis on outdoor learning, with a well-established Forest School programme that allows pupils to learn, explore and develop in a natural environment. ________________________________________ About the Role As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will: • Provide 1:1 support to help a pupil engage with learning and reach their full potential • Use tailored strategies to support emotional regulation, engagement and social development • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to deliver consistent support • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour • Support learning both in the classroom and through outdoor/Forest School activities ________________________________________ The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: • Has experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential) • Is patient, empathetic and proactive in their approach • Has strong communication and teamwork skills • Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting children’s development • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
