About the Role
<p>Auterion is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a rapidly scaling, global organization. This is a newly created role and a key contributor to supporting statutory compliance, and preparing for external audits under IFRS and local GAAP requirements.</p>
<p>In this role, you will be responsible for executing core close activities for our Swiss and German entities, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and supporting audit and statutory reporting readiness in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment. You will work closely with US-based accounting leadership, local finance teams, FP&A, tax advisors, and operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accountant who enjoys hands-on execution, thrives in complexity, and wants exposure to both local statutory requirements and consolidated group reporting.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Execute month-end close activities for EU entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis</li>
<li>Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, payroll, etc with complete supporting documentation</li>
<li>Monitor general ledger activity to ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements (Swiss GAAP FER, German HGB)</li>
<li>Prepare statutory financial statements for Swiss and German entities in accordance with local commercial code requirements</li>
<li>Support consolidated external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, PBC requests, and responses for EU entities</li>
<li>Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations between EU entities and US parent company for consolidation purposes</li>
<li>Partner with FP&A to provide accurate actuals, variance explanations, and support for forecasting and budgeting processes</li>
<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and HR to validate accruals, estimates, and operational data</li>
<li>Support NetSuite optimization for EU operations, including reporting enhancements, workflows, and localization features</li>
<li>Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and strengthen internal controls</li>
<li>Prepare management reporting packages for internal review and support US consolidation requirements</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;</li>
<li>4-7 years of experience in corporate operational, preferably in a tech, manufacturing, or high-growth environment.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, with mutli-entity experience</li>
<li>Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.</li>
<li>Experience in accounting processes in a high-growth or start-up environment.</li>
<li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.</li>
<li>Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)</li>
<li>EU Citizenship required. </li>
