<p><strong>Day Shift | 4 on / 4 off | £14.50 per hour | 6am–6pm</strong></p>

<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised individual to play a key role in a fast-paced logistics environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys operational responsibility, problem-solving, and working at the heart of transport and yard activity.</p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>You will be responsible for coordinating the safe and efficient movement, positioning, loading, and dispatch of transport vehicles in line with established procedures. This is a hands-on role that requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the movement and positioning of containers and trailers to ensure smooth loading and unloading operations, keeping schedules on track and minimizing delays</li>
<li>Oversee and manage transport contractors while on site, ensuring full compliance with safety standards and operational procedures</li>
<li>Control access and movements of drivers and pedestrians within the site to maintain a safe working environment</li>
<li>Carry out daily checks of tug units and on-site trailers, identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns</li>
<li>Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and cooperation across departments</li>
<li>Proactively identify, resolve, and report any issues that could impact daily load schedules or operational compliance</li>
</ul>
<p>Skills/ Experience:-</p>
<p>Previous Shunting or Tug experience</p>
<p>Refresher Shunting course available</p>
<p>Full Driving Licence</p>
<p>Self-motivated</p>
<p>pro-active,</p>
<p>basic mechanical knowledge</p>
