HR Manager – 8 Month FTC

St Albans (Hybrid),  £65,000 pro rata + bonus

We are currently partnering with a well-established and growing organisation based in St Albans to recruit an experienced HR Manager on an 8-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on HR professional to make a real impact across the full employee lifecycle within a fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the HR Director, you will take ownership of a broad range of HR activities, ensuring best practice, compliance, and a high-quality employee experience across the business. This role requires a confident self-starter who can drive initiatives through to completion with precision and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert support on employee relations matters and coach managers
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and partner with managers on hiring needs
• Ensure compliance with UK employment law and lead HR audits (e.g. RTW, GDPR, IR35)
• Produce HR reports and insights using HRIS data
• Act as HRIS lead, maintaining data accuracy and improving system functionality
• Support salary benchmarking, pay reviews, and benefits processes
• Drive performance management and support learning & development initiatives

About You

• Proven HR Manager experience across the full employee lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Experience with HRIS systems (ideally Cascade/IRIS) and data reporting
• Demonstrated success managing recruitment, audits, and ER cases
• High attention to detail with a “completer-finisher” mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
