Senior Architect

Senior Architect Location: East Sussex Salary: £40,000 to £46,000 A well established architectural practice is looking to recruit a Senior Architect to join its team in East Sussex. The studio delivers projects across the residential, education, and healthcare sectors and places a strong emphasis on sustainable design. This position will involve working closely with project teams, clients, and contractors, primarily on residential and mixed use developments. Key Responsibilities * Lead the preparation and delivery of technical design packages for cladding remediation and building retrofit projects * Produce and manage detailed Revit models, drawings, and supporting technical documentation * Ensure all design information complies with the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 and related regulations * Coordinate design information with external consultants and specialist subcontractors * Review potential technical or compliance risks and implement suitable solutions * Liaise with clients, contractors, and statutory authorities throughout project stages Skills and Experience * Qualified Architect with current ARB registration * Strong working knowledge of Revit * Experience working on cladding remediation, façade upgrades, or refurbishment and retrofit schemes * Excellent technical knowledge, including construction detailing and risk awareness * Understanding of Gateway processes and the responsibilities associated with BRPD * Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and coordinating design information What’s on Offer * The chance to contribute to complex and significant remediation and retrofit schemes * A collaborative and supportive studio environment * Competitive salary depending on experience * Flexible hybrid working arrangements * Opportunities for career development within an expanding technical team To apply, please call Sophie on 01792 963134 or alternatively, send your CV and Portfolio across to sophie.ferguson@penguinrecruitment.co.uk.
