About the job I am currently working with a well-established Irish general contractor that are looking experienced Mechanical Package Managers to play a critical role on a mission critical Data Centre! Attached is more information: Job Description • Plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to the mechanical package scope, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of mechanical package documentation, including specifications, drawings, and scope of work. • Manage procurement processes for mechanical equipment and materials, liaising with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards. • Coordinate with design, construction, commissioning, and procurement teams to ensure smooth integration of the mechanical package into the overall project. • Monitor mechanical package progress, budget, and schedule, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures to maintain project milestones. • Lead technical reviews and meetings related to the mechanical package, addressing design queries and resolving conflicts proactively. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements throughout the mechanical package lifecycle. • Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation for mechanical package status, progress, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement. Skills and Requirements • A Professional Qualification in Mechanical Engineering. • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing works on large scale projects. • Data Centre experience is not required but desirable.
